3. Choose Type of Wood & Salt Walls
Select premium Canadian Hemlock, Common Aspen, or illuminated Himalayan salt brick walls for enhanced aesthetic and air quality.
4. Ventilation Outlets
Proper intake and exhaust vents are essential to cycle fresh air, eliminate stale moisture, and ensure 5 to 7 air exchanges per hour.

Requirements for Steam Room & Generator Installation
Steam Room Mechanical Requirements
- Steam Line Layout: Keep steam pipe runs smooth and direct—avoid sharp bends or low points (siphons) where condensed water can collect and block steam flow.
- Ventilation Requirements: Active mechanical ventilation is required for any steam room designed for continuous use over one hour.
- Power Supply: The steam generator requires a continuous, dedicated power supply to maintain internal controls, digital timers, and automatic drain cycles.
- Drainage: Drain lines must maintain a continuous downward slope to ensure proper gravity drainage.
- Sensor Placement: The temperature probe must be installed away from the steam outlet to ensure accurate temperature readings.
- Electrical Safety: Equipment must be properly grounded in accordance with local electrical codes.
Generator Location & Installation Rules
- Environment: Must be installed outside the steam cabin in a dry, well-ventilated space. Keep away from chlorine or chemical storage areas.
- Proximity & Pipe Length: Place the generator as close to the steam room as possible; total steam pipe length must not exceed 60 feet.
- Mounting & Orientation: Equipment must be mounted level and vertical, resting on the floor or secured to the wall using stainless steel screws and heavy-duty anchors.
- Drain Elevation: Ensure the generator's drain outlet is elevated higher than the main drain connection to allow proper gravity emptying.
