Amerec has been providing saunas of high quality for the past forty years and they are most definitely the best sauna brand in the United States. When you are building a sauna room is important to ensure the walls are covered in plywood prior to installing the sauna wood so that the tongue and groove system is given a proper nailing surface.
The plywood must be covered with vapor barrier so that the sauna room becomes insulated and the humidity does not build up. This sauna room was installed in a Gym, the location chosen was the old storage room that was located in the Mens locker room, the job took about four days to be completed. The first part of the process was to measure the room, making a detailed drawing which is sent to the factory so they can prepare a drawing of their own, when this factory drawing was approved by our client the western red cedar wood was precut according to the approved specs. Three weeks later we received the entire sauna room in boxes ready to be assembled, so we began by running the 240 volt electrical feed to the sauna room, then the plywood and vapor barrier were put in place, once this was ready; the nailing of the tongue and groove began. Each plank is placed according to the drawing and proper level is ensured, the best place to start is the ceiling, then move on the back wall, side walls, frontal walls, upper and lower benches, door jamb and hanging the actual door, then last but not least the floor! We always ensure that all temperature probes, time and temperature control, light and electrical feed cables are properly ran before we put up the sauna wood. The last thing we do is install the Amerec 14.4KW Pro Sauna Heater and all its components, once this is done; the new sauna room is ready to be enjoyed instantly and it actually was! |
