Mr Steam has been around for close to sixty years and it is very common to run into units that have been installed about twenty years ago, this was the case for my latest installation. The steam unit had been installed before the bathroom was actually built, so the bathroom vanity was introduced around the actual steamer. Surprisingly the steam unit worked without any sort of issues or maintenance for the full twenty years, this is a testament to the quality that a Mr steam generator offers.
Removing the old steam unit was actually impossible without taking the vanity apart and removing the sink, once that was done, I was able to place the new unit in this very tight spot where the original unit was placed. My customer did not want to purchase the auto flush which was a shame because it does work, very effectively; it keeps the tank clean by removing the excess water left from the boiling process and leaving the tank empty, so when you start a new session fresh water is introduced to the steam unit tank. This allows the heating element and tank to remain free of any sediment build up. The new I Tempo Plus Control and Aroma Steamhead were positioned in their original placement spots in the shower, momentarily the brand new Mr steam was turned on and the steam bath session began.
