BeforeAfterAfter ensuring the heating element had continuity and was pulling the right amount of amperage I removed it from the tank, after doing so I discovered the inside of the tank was full of sediment and residue build up, so very carefully this very hard mass was removed, however, the heating element although working had a small build up of sediment and a new one was installed to ensure optimal performance of the steam unit. The service was completed and the steam generator back to making the spa users very happy, it is important to note that had there been an autoflush valve installed the chances of this build up happening would have been very slim, but since this particular steam unit did not have the autoflush this happened in less than five years which is actually not that bad considering the situation.
